NETCENTS
NETCENTS
is a strategic opportunity for us to grow our longstanding partnership
with the Air Force in implementing global integrated solutions to
meet NETCENTS needs now and into the future. This relationship provides
valuable insight into the challenges the Air Force must overcome
as they transform their current platform-centric infrastructure
to align with the “infostructure” vision of Network-Centric
Information Technology, Networking, Telephony, and Security (NCITNTS).
Based on our Information Transport System (ITS) and Voice Switching
Systems (VSS) experiences, we recognize that each customer site
and its users are unique and that their individual needs must be
satisfied within the framework of an overarching enterprise vision
and direction.
The Headquarters
Standard Systems Group (HQ SSG) of the Air Force Materiel Command
(AFMC) is seeking sources for the acquisition of Network-Centric
Solutions (NETCENTS) to include Information Technology, Networking,
Telephony, Security (NCITNTS), Voice, Video and Data Communications
to include (but not limited to) Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS)
products, system solutions and systems hardware and software to
satisfy the requirements for interoperability, compatibility, and
resource sharing of both Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and
Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE), supporting the Air Force's
Global Information Grid (GIG) architecture. The scope of this planned
acquisition is to establish an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity
(IDIQ) contract for Network-Centric Information Technology COTS
products, security (firewalls, vpn, encryption and decryption, etc.)
and system solutions (to include but not be limited to engineering,
software development, integration, installation, testing, warranty,
training, operations and maintenance), and the hardware, software
and materials to design, install, support and maintain Network-Centric
Information Technology, Networking, Telephony and Security (NCITNTS)
systems.
